CHALLENGER SPORTS BRITISH SOCCER CAMP RETURNS in 2012!
Click the link below to register or to get more information!
Wickliffe Soccer Club is pleased to announce a year of partnership with Challenger Sports, providers of the USA’s most popular soccer camp, to host the week long British Soccer camp during the week of June 11th – 15th at Orlando Park.
The camp will run Monday through Friday and each child will be coached by a member of Challenger’s British coaching staff flown to the USA exclusively to work on these programs. Challenger will hold over 3,500 British Soccer Camps this summer and will coach over 120,000 players between the ages of 3 and 18, as well as completing FREE coach education clinics for over 30,000 parents and coaches.
Challenger’s British Soccer Camp is more than a week of drills and skills. In addition to taking part in a daily regimen of foot skill development (through the 1,000 touches curriculum), technical and tactical practices and daily ‘World Cup’ tournament style plays, each child will be treated to a rich cultural experience and lessons on respect, responsibility, integrity, leadership and sportsmanship. Each camp is custom built to meet the needs of your players so Challenger will be directed by the organization on the content of the camp that they too require.
Each camper will receive a FREE camp T-shirt, soccer ball, soccer poster, individual skills performance evaluation and free access to an educational soccer website. In addition, any child who signs up online by April 27th will receive a genuine British Soccer replica Jersey valued at $39. For further information please visit:

Lightning Youth Soccer Camp
The camp’s goal is to help young players enjoy the game and improve their skills. The camp focuses on the skills that a player needs to play the game. The skills are taught in a way that competition between campers is not stressed, but individual progress is. We try to impress upon every camper that soccer is a great game and that they can be successful at it. The camp is taught by John Scramling, a former Wickliffe resident and the Brush High School Boy’s Varsity Coach & Art Skupniewicz, Beachwood H.S. Girl’s Soccer Coach. Coach Scramling holds a USSF license, and is a three time winner of the Cleveland HS Coach of the year and is a two time winner of the State of Ohio Coach of the Year honors. He is assisted by his coaching staff and several of his varsity soccer players.
The player to coach ratio is kept low so that the campers are able to get more individual attention. The camp will be run from August 6 – 10, from 9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at Orlando Park.
The camp is open to boys and girls from Kindergarten to the eighth grade. Fee includes camp t-shirt and soccer ball. Residents $50, each additional family member $40; Non-residents $70, each additional family member $55.
